John Albert Blair, known to his friends as Jack, aged 90, passed away on July 24, 2023. Jack was born at home on April 2, 1933, in Camden, NJ. He lived in Woodbury, NJ, before moving to Bradenton, FL.
Jack worked in the nuclear industry before retiring. He served in the Air Force and was stationed in Ramstein, Germany. As a retiree, he loved a life of golf, bridge and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed music, dancing, singing, playing pool and darts. As a man of faith, he was a devoted Lutheran and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bradenton, FL. He loved his family and friends deeply and was an amazing Father.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Jacqueline Ann Silk and his sister, Patricia Schulze. He is survived by his loving family, wife, Noel DeBrick-Blair of Bradenton, FL; daughters, Linda Czubas of Tabernacle, NJ, Catherine Pliess of Roscoe, IL; step-daughter, Katherine Wadkowski (Michael) of Granville, OH; three adored grandchildren, John and wife, Ashley, of Katy, TX, Melissa and partner, Michael of Tabernacle, NJ and Rachel and husband, Adam of Roscoe, IL and five great-grandchildren. Jack will be sadly missed by many wonderful friends.
Jack’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His kindness, dedication and unwavering love for his family will forever be remembered.
A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held with Visitation from 2 PM to 4 PM, Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel. A private burial will be at the Sarasota National Cemetery. Condolences may be made to www.brownandsonsfuneral.com.
