John Robert Pool

John Robert ‘Bob’ Pool of Bradenton, Florida went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2026.

He was born on August 10, 1931, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Robert and Merle Pool.

Bob had polio at the age of six. He graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1953 with a major in accounting. Bob moved to Florida in 1957 and operated an accounting practice in Holmes Beach for five years. He became a CPA in 1968 and practiced for over forty years. He felt fortunate to be able to practice accounting and appreciated all the people who he worked with and helped him.

He enjoyed reading and traveling. He and his wife Maggie spent many happy times traveling and especially the last few years with trips to Pigeon Forge, TN.

Bob is predeceased by his wife Maggie, who passed in 2022. He is survived by his son Scott Pool, stepdaughters, Sandra Thomas, Linda Good, Pamela O’Neil, granddaughters, Kelly Defibaugh, Katie O’Neil and one great grandson, Caden Ryder Defibaugh.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 5-7PM with words of reflection starting at 5:30PM at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes, 26th Street Chapel, 5624 26th Street West, Bradenton, Florida, 34207.
