Palmetto, Florida - Joyce Edna (Haslam) Day died peacefully at the age of 94 on November 4, 2023 at BayVue Nursing Home in Bradenton, FL. She was born March 12, 1929 in Vassalboro, Maine to Lawrence and Lillian (Richardson) Haslam.
Joyce married Robert Leslie Day on June 25th, 1949. They enjoyed 47 years of marriage until Bob's death on December 5, 1996. Together, they raised four children in Foxboro, Massachusetts, Bradford W. (Linda) of Mount Dora, FL, Leslie A. (Donna) of Binghamton, NY, Joel P. (Joyce Trifaro Vito) of Toms River, NJ, and Luanne E. (Bill Cockshaw) of Okeechobee, FL.
Joyce is survived by her children and their spouses, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Joyce will be missed by her family and friends, who were blessed to have had her in their lives. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce's memory can be made to Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc., 4210 77th St. E, Palmetto FL 34221.
