Judy R. Walden, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on March 11, 2026, surrounded by loved ones at her home.
Judy was born on January 15, 1950, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Virginia and PJ Rogers Jr. She graduated from West Georgia College and married the love of her life Lowell M. Walden on March 18, 1972. Their love brought them to Florida and together they were very active in their church, service to others and were co-owners of multiple business including real estate and network marketing. Together with Lowell, Judy lead many small groups in her church, taught in children’s programs and sang in the choir. She was always finding ways to serve and give back to others in countless ways. She also had a great and witty sense of humor and her and Lowell kept each other and the family laughing every day.
Judy was a devoted wife who deeply loved honored her husband. Judy was a dear sister to her siblings Nancy, Bill, Jay and Jim. She was a precious mom and grandmom who left a legacy of love in the hearts of her daughter Gini, son-in-law John Jason and grandson Rusty. As an aunt, she loved her nieces and nephews – David and Michael, Lisa and Bill, and Ashley and Jonathan, and James, Robby and Beth. Her great nieces and nephews also brought much joy to her life and she always wanted them to know how special they were and how much they were loved.
Although she was homebound in her later years due to multiple sclerosis, Judy continued to share joy, kindness, and love with everyone around her. Her kindness, faith, and warmth were a blessing to everyone who cared for her and spent time in her presence. She prayed daily for her family and always asked – how can I be praying for you?
Judy is survived by her husband Lowell; daughter Gini (John Jason); grandson Rusty; brothers Bill (Elizabeth), Jay (Susan), Jim (Janet); and nieces and nephews David (Sandi), Michael, Lisa (Jim), Bill (Jacqueline), Ashley (Michael), Jonathan (Carla), James, Robby (Carrie) and Beth and many great nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and sister Nancy (Jim).
