Julia “Julie” Deam Boswell, 68, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on March 18, 2026.

Born in Cheverly, Maryland, and raised in Prince George’s County, Julie was a proud “P.G. County girl” whose spirit, strength, and personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. In 1984, she married the love of her life, Earl William Boswell, Jr., and later that year they moved to Florida, where she built a life centered around family, love, and meaningful connections. She shared a deep and devoted partnership with Earl until his passing in 2013.

Julie dedicated 27 years of her professional life to Boyd Insurance and Investments, where her intelligence, work ethic, and people-first approach helped her rise from receptionist to Commercial Risk Manager. She had a natural ability to connect with others—an instinct that served her well both professionally and personally.

Julie will be remembered as radiant, wise, and incredibly people-savvy. She had a true gift of gab, a way with words, and a laughter that could light up any room. She loved deeply and showed it often—always offering encouragement, thoughtful advice, and a listening ear to those she cared about.

Her passions were as vibrant as she was. Julie loved astrology and had an uncanny ability to guess someone’s zodiac sign while remembering just about everyone’s birthday. She found joy in 70’s R&B and SoulTown music, her faith, and in recent years, her growing love for plants. She also had a special place in her heart for children, having worked at Children’s Haven in the 1980s. A true fighter, she faced life’s challenges with resilience, grace, and unwavering strength.

Above all, Julie cherished her family and friends. Her kindness, her stories, her wisdom, and her unwavering support will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

Julie is survived by her sons, Michael and Shane Boswell; her daughter, Tonya Davis; three sisters; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl Boswell, Jr.; her parents, Erla and Jack Youmans; and her son, Joseph Miller.

Her light, love, and wisdom will live on through all who were fortunate enough to know her, and she will be deeply missed every day.
