June Louise (Wilhelmi) Feeney, “Snookie”, passed away on July 15, 2026, in Bradenton, FL. She was just twelve days shy of her 89th Birthday. She was born on July 27, 1937, and always believed that number seven was her lucky number.

June was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Georgia Wilhelmi, and two brothers, Dennis Wilhelmi and Randy (Marge) Wilhelmi. She is survived by two brothers, Bobby (Sharon) Wilhelmi, George (Kathy) Wilhelmi, and her sister Leanne Minnick.

June was previously married to Mickey Feeney, and together they welcomed six children, Jerry (Leslie) Feeney, Ron Feeney, Shelly (Bill) Wright, Terry (Becky) Feeney, Lana (Tony) Pursell and Ray (Tammy) Feeney. June had 15 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

June’s family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in watching them grow through the generations. She loved to sew, garden, and cook. She won numerous cooking contests and many of her favorites included apple pie squares, blueberry muffins, wild blueberry jam and chocolate eclairs. Her kitchen was where family gathered, traditions were made, and countless memories were shared over home-cooked meals. After raising her children, she continued her sewing and crafting skills making merchandise for her shop, “June’s Gifts Galore”. She handmade dolls with a birth certificate for each of her children and grandchildren. The love of doll making was handed down from her mother Georgia.

In her later years, June enjoyed playing cards with her dearest friends Bev and Clinton Hulbert and continued with her family in Florida. June possessed a gentle spirit and a quiet grace that was evident in everything she did. June never swore, and whenever something frustrated her, she would simply smile and say, “oh poodles”. Those two words became uniquely hers and remain a cherished reminder of her kindness, patience, and her good nature.

June’s final home was at Discovery Village in Bradenton, FL where she loved the fireside chats with Perry, riding the exercise bike, and Thursday’s Happy Hour music and dancing. Her greatest legacy is from the family she loved dearly the lives she touched and the example she set. She will be deeply cherished and always remembered.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor June’s memory by making a donation that we will transfer into a Discovery Village employee appreciation cash fund or by giving the gift of your time by visiting your local nursing home or assisted living community. Sit with someone who may never get visitors, share a conversation, listen to their stories, and remind them they are not forgotten. It is a simple act of kindness that would have meant the world to June and reflects the compassion she lived every day.
