Parrish, Florida - Karen A. Meyer of Parrish Florida passed away on September 24, 2024 at Manatee Hospital after a beautifully lived life.
Karen was born June 21, 1939, the daughter of Warren and Coe Shult of Bloomington Illinois. She graduated from Bloomington Normal High School in 1956 and careered for a time as an office administrator and excelled as a homemaker. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Parrish.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard in 2017. Karen is survived by her daughter Susan Jackson of Frederick, MD, her son Steven of Orlando, FL, her stepson Paul of Peoria, IL and her stepdaughter Linda of St. Thomas, VI, and two grandsons, Matthew Meyer and August "Gus" Meyer, and her cousins Jef Farlow and Mark Farlow, along with countless beloved friends in Peoria and Parrish.
A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or to the American Heart Association.
