Katherine (Cookie) Brower Yannetti passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024, at the age of 89. At the time of her death, Cookie resided at Discovery Village Assisted Living in Bradenton, Florida. She was the adopted daughter of the late Arthur and Fannie Fisher (Wise) and beloved mother of John Michael Yannetti.
She was a 1952 graduate of Downingtown Pa. High School, where she was a cheerleader and socially active. After graduation, Cookie married John C Yannetti of Coatesville, Pa. and the couple gave birth to their only son, John Michael.
Professionally, Cookie was a top level Executive Assistant, working for a number of local companies and finishing her career with Martin Marietta which purchased General Electric Aerospace, where Cookie was employed for many years.
After retirement, Cookie relocated from Sanatoga, PA to Bradenton, Florida, where she was reunited with many of her former high school classmates. She loved the Florida weather and freedom from snowy winters. Cookie loved to sing and had the voice of an angel. Her unmatched quick wit, made her the life of every party or family gathering. Cookie was an animal lover who always had a dog or a cat and often had long conversations with them! She had a passion for art, painting many seascapes that she proudly displayed in her home as well as many sketches of her son.
Cookie is survived by her beloved son, John Michael Yannetti, her sister Alice Brown, her nieces and nephews, Jeff Burns, Michael Burns, Eric Shoemaker, Steve Shoemaker, Betsy Barber, Jo Anne Harrison, Brenda French, Joseph Przychodzien (the late Ann), Barbara Forese (George), Ronald Przychodzien (Marguerite), Shirley Armentrout (the late Kenneth), and Marie Rissell (Michael), as well as many great and great, great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her ex-husband, John Carlton Yannetti, her sister, Irma Shoemaker and her husband, Robert, her brother Harold Fisher and his wife Elizabeth, her brother-in-law, Wilson "Brownie" Brown, Edith Yannetti Przychodzien, her husband Joseph, Joseph Yannetti, his wife Junetta, Mary Yannetti Burkey, her husband Richard, Frank Yannetti, his wife Jean, nephew Rick Burns and great nephew Todd Morris.
There will be celebrations of life to be announced in Bradenton, Florida as well as a mass and celebration of life in Coatesville/Downingtown, Pa. Cookie chose to be cremated and her wishes were granted on August 25th 2024.
