Anna Maria Island, Florida - Kathleen Ann MacKenzie (Sierakowski), age 80, was born on October 28, 1944 in St. Paul, MN, and passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Kathleen resided on Anna Maria Island, FL and Chaska, MN.
Kathleen, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and aunt was preceded in death by her son, Jason Frans Officer; father and mother, Joseph & Lucille Sierakowski; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Corrine Sierakowski; sister, Valerie (Thomas) Connor; niece, Cheryl Mattson. Survived by her son, Darren (Tracy) Officer; daughter, Michelle; step-children, Jennifer (Pete) Psyck, Heather (Dan) Kinsella and Christopher (Vivian) MacKenzie; grandchildren, Sarah (John) Gallagher, Erin Kinsella, Adam (Kaylee) Kinsella and Michael Nielsen; great-grandchildren, Noah, Riley, Halle, Connor; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kathleen welcomed everyone with open arms. Her generous heart, resilience, zest for life and unconditional love made everyone around her feel special. In Florida, Kathleen loved long walks along the ocean, always searching for just the right shells to bring home. The sound of the ocean waves brought her serenity and peace. Native to Minnesota, Kathleen was also very passionate for her Minnesota Vikings! She seldom ever missed watching a game. Heaven gained an angel. Kathleen will be greatly missed.
The funeral mass will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Hubert's Catholic Church, 8201 Main Street, Chanhassen, MN 55317. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. A luncheon will follow the service.
The family asks that any donations be made to American Stroke Association on Kathleen's behalf.
