BRADENTON — Keith Green, who has served four years on the Bradenton City Planning Commission and previously served on the Manatee County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee, has filed to run for the Bradenton City Council Ward 4 seat.
In 2020, Green, a native of Alexandria, Virginia, and his wife, Vivian, moved to her hometown of Bradenton. In addition to his roles on the aforementioned committees, Green has held leadership roles in the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic service group, in both the D.C. area and in Manatee County.
Green previously filed to run for the Manatee County Commission District 7 (At-Large) seat in 2024 but withdrew from the race.
The Ward 4 seat is currently held by Lisa Gonzalez Moore, who is seeking reelection. Bradenton City Council seats are contested in a nonpartisan, winner-take-all race on the November ballot.

Mr. Green would have some big shoes to fill. Lisa Gonzalez Moore has done a wonderful job keeping constituents updated and fighting for us in the 4th District. I was skeptical of Councilwoman Moore prior to her election because of her close ties to real estate as an attorney. But, her awareness of our community concerns has always been her focus and for that we're all very grateful.
