Kenneth Huizinga went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 19, 2025, at the age of 83. He passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, strength and deep family bonds.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years, Agnes Huizinga, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories. In the years that followed, he was blessed to find love again with Vera Niles, who brought renewed joy and companionship to his life.
Kenneth was a devoted father to Ken (Heidi) Huizinga and Kris (Brian) Langerak, a proud grandfather to Nicole (Isaac), Alex (Brooke), Kenny Jr., Isaac, Lia and Zoe, and a deeply proud great-grandfather to Zayn. He is also survived by his sisters Marilyn (Dan), Kathy and Jill (Scott), along with many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He had a deep love for the outdoors and spent countless hours in the woods and on the water. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who appreciated the quiet, the challenge and the reward that came with time spent in nature. These weren't just pastimes- they were part of who he was, and he passed that passion on to those around him.
His deep love for his family, his steady presence, and his faith-filled life will be forever remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege to know him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel where a memorial service will be held with military honors on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Kenneth's memory with contributions to God's Kitchen where he and Aggie enjoyed volunteering for many years.
