Laura S. Williamson, age 96, passed away on September 22, 2024, in Bradenton, FL. Born on February 9, 1928, in Norristoen, PA, Laura was revered as a wonderful matriarch, nurturing a loving family throughout her life.
Laura is survived by her four children: Virginia Marcinko and Eva Walker, both of Bradenton, FL; Alan Williamson (Nancy) of Huntersville, NC; and Carole Curtis (William) of Virginia Beach, VA. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Her sister, Shirley Williams of Delaware, also survives her. Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Varnadore M. Williamson.
Laura's hobbies included playing games, particularly Scrabble and card games, working jigsaw puzzles, and reading, activities that brought her much joy and offered cherished moments with her family.
A service to honor Laura's life will be held at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, located at 2208 Princess Anne Rd., Virginia Beach, VA, on November 9 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
