Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics at MTI East on Friday

LAKEWOOD RANCH -- A 5K torch run and kid’s fun run to benefit Special Olympics will be held on Friday at Manatee Technical Institute's Lakewood Ranch campus. Registration is $25 and begins at 5 p.m.

The fun run is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and the 5k will start at 6:30. A post race cookout will also take place.

Online registration is available at www.signmeup.com/97101. Law enforcement, fire deparment and EMS employees or military veterans can register for $10.

Non runners can enjoy the cookout for $10 ($5 for kids under 12. MTI's Lakewood Ranch campus is located at 5540 Lakewood Ranch Blvd.
