Lawrence "Larry" S. Goulet, 96, passed away with family by his side on April 30, 2024, in Bradenton, Florida. He was born in Niagara Falls, New York, on December 31, 1927, to Edward and Angeline Goulah.
Larry was a World War II Naval Veteran and served proudly aboard the USS Wilkes-Barre. In fact, he witnessed the bombing of Iwo Jima and was present at the surrender in Tokyo Bay.
He was a long-time resident of Grand Island, NY and Bradenton, FL.
Married to Shirley Goulet for over 32 years. Larry and Shirley's marriage amassed a total of 16 children together, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his brother, Morris Goulah; sisters, Catherine Hollister and Cielia Goulah. He is predeceased by his parents, siblings, Donald Goulah, Janet Hogan, Robert Goulah, Gordon Goulah, Jerald Goulah and Gerard Goulah.
A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on May 17, 2024, at Sarasota National Cemetery with Honors. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209, is in charge of arrangements.
