“I don’t know any of the people on my ballot!” This is one of the most common concerns we hear at the League of Women Voters of Manatee County—and it’s exactly why we host our candidate forums.
These sessions give voters a chance to hear directly from the candidates, understand where they stand on key issues, and get reliable, nonpartisan information you need to vote with confidence.
Join us via Zoom as we meet the candidates running for the Holmes Beach Commission, Bradenton City Council Wards 3 & 4, Manatee County Commission Districts 1 & 2, Florida District 72, and Congressional District 16.

Candidates will answer questions developed by the League of Women Voters of Manatee County, as well as questions submitted at least one week before the forum. If you have a question you’d like considered, please send it, along with which candidate forum it's for, to info@lwvmanatee.org.
We continue to work on scheduling the remaining general election races.

The September 23 forum is for the race for the UNITED STATES CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT 16 seat, NOT Florida Congressional District. Florida's redistricting changed District 16 from a two county district to one that now includes all or parts of SIX counties. All of Manatee, Hardee and DeSoto. Southern Pinellas and Polk Counties and the eastern part of Sarasota County. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT RACES IN OUR REGION AND IN THE NATION!!!
