BRADENTON – How will counties provide health care for those who cannot afford it, in light of Florida’s rejection of the Medicaid expansion and the failure of the Manatee County sales tax referendum?

On Monday November 18, the League of Women Voters of Manatee County will sponsor a panel discussion on indigent care needs and funding options.

Panel participants include Dr. Jennifer Bencie and Chuck Henry, administrators of the Florida Health Department in Manatee County and Sarasota County respectively, and Manatee County Administrator Ed Hunzeker.

After speaker presentations there will be questions from the audience and discussion.

The program will be held at the Bradenton Woman's Club 1705 Manatee Ave. W. Doors will open at 11:30 am for refreshments; the talk will begin at noon.
