Vote411.org is an online Voters Guide, created and maintained by the national, state and local League of Women Voters. Candidate information for the 2024 general election for Florida and Manatee County is now available on Vote411.org. Voters can find information about each candidate, including positions, qualifications and campaign contact information. Voters can also learn about key ballot initiatives, referenda, voting rights, and regulations and FAQs.

Here's how it works: You can view the candidate information for a particular race side by side. When you enter your address in "What's on Your Ballot", you can have your vote-by-mail or sample ballot in front of you, leaf through the candidates, amendments and referenda and get much of the information you need to make an informed vote. Vote411.org has the following in "What's on Your Ballot":

  • US Senate
  • US House District 16
  • State Representative District
  • FL Supreme Court Justice - Merit Retention
  • FL 2nd District Court of Appeal - Merit Retention
  • Manatee County Commissioners and School Board Members
  • Local Mayors and Council/Commissioners - Bradenton, Palmetto, Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, Bradenton Beach

  • Florida Constitutional Amendments 1 - 6 
  • Renewal of the Manatee School District 1 mil ad valorem tax millage
  • An additional 1 percent tax on short term rentals (bed tax)

Important Election Dates

  • Monday, October 7: Voter Registration Deadline
  • Thursday, October 24 at 5:00 PM: Deadline to request a Vote by Mail ballot
  • Monday, October 21 through Saturday, November 2, 8:30 AM to 6:30PM daily: Early Voting

  • Tuesday, November 5 by 7:00 PM: Deadline to return Vote by Mail ballot 
  • Tuesday, November 5, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM: Election Day
