Leland Thomas Sly, II, 75, of Bradenton, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

Born on June 25, 1947, he was a lifelong resident of Manatee county who never met a stranger. It is with heavy but rejoiceful hearts that we announce that Leland Thomas Sly II went home to be with the Lord.
Alongside his wife, Debra Ann Sly, together they raised their children Jessica Rene Sly Nehrboss (Kevin Nehrboss), Loretta Lynn Sly Valdez (Jaime Valdez), and Seth Ross Sly (Jasmine Sly). He was also survived by a daughter Cindy Sly and son Leland Redfern.
He was a member of the 101st Airborne Division of the US Army.
He lived by the motto "can’t never did do nothing" which reflected in everything he did. From pioneering the local grass-fed beef industry to explosives engineering to preaching the gospel; his ultimate passion.
As he reunited with his brothers and sisters in Christ in heaven, he leaves behind his wife of 47 years, his five children, and ten grandchildren; Rebbecca Lee, Kimberlee Rose, Braden Allen, Brody Allen, Hailie Nichole, Isabella Grace, Eli Parker, Rylee Ann, Jaimie Javier, and Quinn Rose.
