Letter to the Editor: Insulted by County Commissioners Actions at Public Meeting

Dear Editor:
 
I am insulted that a Manatee County commissioner on 11/7/13 would question the integrity of anyone speaking before the commission.  Since when is it correct to bring up politics when politics was not even the issue?
 
After citizen's, comments were completed, Commissioner Baugh accused these speakers of only talking for political reasons. 
 
Does Commissioner Baugh believe that voters have no right to personal opinions?
 
Commissioner Baugh should apologize at a commissioners meeting to citizens for her impolite and incorrect comments.
 
Thankfully, commissioner Robin DiSabatino defended the rights of citizens to make personal comments; she further asked that even more citizens state their opinions.
 
Baugh should publicly state her opinion who should or shouldn't have the right to address the county commission.
