BRADENTON – Retired area orthopedic surgeon, Dr. William Hatt–better known as Doc–recently celebrated his 99th birthday.
Doc was married for 50 years and has three children and four grandchildren. Some of his favorite pastimes include studying genealogy and gemology. He is also a member of the Manasota Gem & Mineral Club.
When asked what his secret to longevity was he shared, "I don’t think about tomorrow or worry about the past. I live in the moment.“
Doc Hatt was born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1923. He came to call Bradenton senior living community, ƒlan Manatee his home in January 2020.
"Doc is a retired orthopedic surgeon who practiced in Sarasota, beginning in 1950 and retired in 1994. Doc is also a veteran and served in the Navy, shares Community Relations Director Whitney Barkey. "He’s a valued member of our community.“
