Local Government 2013 County Commission Committee Assignments Announced

MANATEE COUNTY – At Tuesday's BOCC meeting, Larry Bustle, Chairman-elect of the 2013 Manatee County Commission, issued members' committee assignments for the upcoming year. The BOCC has one or multiple representatives on over 30 community agencies, government entities and boards.

Such organizations include the Library Board of Trusties, the Economic Development Council Advisory Board, the Mental Health & Substance Abuse Planning Council, the Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Chamber of Commerce Health Care Task Force and the Animal Services Advisory Board.

Bustle will take over as Chairman of the County Commission on January 1, succeeding Commissioner John Chappie, who was chair throughout 2012. The year-long committee assignments begin Jan. 1. Click here to read a complete listing of all assignments.
