BRADENTON -- Local governments are slowing down for summer recess. The MPO kicks things off Monday morning at a new location on the campus of USF Sarasota/Manatee.The Palmetto City Commission has called a special meeting to decide the special permit for selling alcohol on city property issue before the July 4 celebration. The Manatee BOCC will be off until the third week of July, while the school board holds its last meeting before breaking until July 23. The Bradenton City Council holds an evening meeting Wednesday night.
