Looking ahead at the week in government and business

The government is busy in the first half of the week, with the Bradenton City Council meeting at noon on Monday to certify last Tuesday's election results.

 

On Monday night, the Manatee County School Board holds a regular meeting at 5:45 p.m. The board will consider whether to suspend one teacher pending a hearing and grant an administrative hearing to another. The board will also consider the job description of the graduation coach.

 

On Tuesday, the Manatee County Commission will meet with the Planning Commission from 9 a.m. to noon on the fifth floor of the county's administration building. Also, the Palmetto CRA Advisory Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. at Palmetto City Hall.

 

Wednesday is Veterans Day, and there will be a parade from Rossi Park starting at 9:30 a.m. to the Veterans Memorial, where a ceremony will be held.

 

On Thursday, the Planning Commission will meet at 9 a.m. in the County Commission chambers.
