Mount Prospect, Illinois - Lori Marie Keating passed away on June 5, 2024 at the age of 88 in Mt. Prospect, IL. Born on December 7, 1935, in Chicago, she grew up in Des Plaines, IL, the only child of German immigrants, Adolph and Greta (Robra) Vatcky.
After finishing high school, she married Barrie Fritsche and moved to Glenview, IL to raise a family. They divorced in 1970 and she raised her four kids as a single parent. After the kids left home, Lori married Leonard Keating.
She subsequently moved to Bradenton, Florida where she enjoyed the warmer climate and sunshine. Lori was predeceased by both of her husbands, and is survived by her four children: Gary (Terri) Fritsche, Kevin (Lisa) Fritsche, Tami (Steve) Wohlbrandt, and Sheri Fritsche, along with 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Lori worked as a waitress for more than 3 decades, where she met and made many life-long friends. Throughout her life, she was known as a sharp dresser, a great cook, and a meticulous housekeeper. Lori greatly enjoyed hosting family and friends when they came to Florida for a visit.
She played an active role in creating the community she wanted to live in by serving on her condo's board for many years and in many roles. Lori was a good friend and will be missed. There are no plans for a service, in accordance
