Louise N. Anair

Posted

Louise N. “Weezie” Anair (Moreau), died unexpectedly October 1, 2026 in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 11, 1953 in Coaticook, Quebec Canada, the daughter of Paul and Cecile Moreau (Houle). She graduated from Miriam High School in Barre, VT and obtained her Associates degree from Champlain College in Burlington, VT.

She married Richard Anair on August 7, 1987, in the town of Barre, VT where they made their home for many years. She spent several years in business, real estate, para legal, Co-Owner of D&L Beverage in Hardwick & East Hardwick, VT, and retired from the Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) after 27 yrs. Louise loved her job at VEDA and the people she worked with and for. She made some life time friends there, Nancy, Ruth, Renee, and others. In retirement, Louise was an active member on the board of her condo association. She enjoyed helping others, and she loved her Palmetto community. Her friendships that she made were special and she held many of you close in her heart.

Louise enjoyed cooking, golfing, reading a good murder/mystery, she loved her felines, and sharing her thoughts with those around her. She had the “gift of gab”, a wonderful sense of humor that included wit and sarcasm, and always made the room a little lighter. She also loved spending time traveling and seeing new places. Some of her fondest memories were when she vacationed in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Wells Maine, Myrtle Beach & Hilton Head in North Carolina, her summers on the lake in Woodbury, Vermont, her Vikings cruise to Ireland, and she loved doing these trips with her daughter and grandson in tow! She truly loved the ocean and beach! Additionally, she had a love for purses, jewelry, and shoes! Her motto was always “We’re living our best life!”

Louise is survived by her husband, Richard Anair of Palmetto, Fl., her daughter and son in law, Jaime Blouin & Kelly Benoit, grandson Parker Benoit of Barre, VT, her stepson and daughter in law Rick & Suzanne Anair of Bennington, VT, her grandson Dr. Bradley Anair & fiancé Katie Gray of Gainesville, FL, and her stepdaughter Shannon Anair of Rome, NY, her granddaughters, Cecilia Elias of Utica NY & Emma Lindstrom, of Camden, NY. She is also survived by her brothers, Roger Moreau, Gilles Moreau (Vicky), and Bob Moreau. Louise was predeceased by her parents, Paul & Cecile Moreau of Barre, VT, her brother Michael Moreau, of Mesquite, NV, her sister-in-law Angele Moreau of Barre, VT, her nephew Jason Moreau of Robinsdale, MN and nephew Christopher Moreau of Barre, VT.
