Lucinda Claire Scott, known affectionately by friends and family as Cyndi, embarked on her final adventure on December 4, 2025, at the age of 67.
Born on November 9, 1958, in Reseda, CA, Cyndi was a kind person with a sense of humor. She brought laughter and joy to those around her, living a life characterized by her adventurous spirit, kindness, and friendly demeanor.
She faced life, including her battle with cancer, with the courage and positivity of a true warrior. Her early years were spent in the Sierra Mountains in California, later she went south where she earned her associate's degree in veterinary sciences from San Diego State University. Then on to Florida.
Cyndi then dedicated her professional life to her passion for animals, retiring from Animal Services in Manatee County.
Cyndi was a Christian who lived her faith not through church but through her actions, always extending a helping hand and a warm hug to anyone in need. Her love for animals was only rivaled by her love for her family.
She leaves behind a loving brother, Steve, with his wife Winny, and their children Stan and Christine, as well as her brother Cliff, whose wife Becky and son Cliff Jr. preceded Cyndi in passing, and Nephew Dan who will continue to honor her memory. Her adventurous spirit lives on through her sons by marriage, Dennis, Kevin, and Zachery, and her daughter by marriage, Jennifer. Each of her children has gifted her with grandchildren who will miss her dearly: TJ, Asher, Aubree, Landon, Kynleigh, Nova, and Atlas.
Cyndi's interests took her from the love of cruising on the open sea to the simple pleasure of being around water. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and the kind of friendship that lasts a lifetime.
As we say our goodbyes, her spirit free and her heart full, leaving us all with one last smile as she voyages into the great beyond. Cyndi Scott, you were a beacon of light to Me. in a sometimes too-serious world, and your memory will continue to inspire laughter and love in all of us. Bon voyage, dear Cyndi, until we meet again.
