Manatee BOCC Meeting Agenda Results 2/11/2014

Posted

BRADENTON --At Tuesday's BOCC meeting, two issues dominated and one wasn't even on the the agenda. More that a dozen signed-up to address the commission with concerns over the difficulties that changing voter-poll locations would present. In other business, citizen comments started a line of fervent criticism from residents, wanting to know why no one has been arrested for the deplorable conditions that over three hundred animals were found in at an east county animal sanctuary last week.

7. Citizen Comments --

A dozen citizens stood before the commission angered by the lack of oversight that allowed over 300 sanctuary animals to suffer in deplorable conditions -- (Story to Follow)

An equal number of citizens expressed extreme dissatisfaction with item #10 on the agenda. They said that consolidating the number of voter-poll locations -- which were to be reduced by about a third -- would disenfranchise voters and reduce turnout.  (Full Story)
