MANATEE COUNTY – Manatee County is accepting applications for four positions on the Construction Trades Board, a volunteer group that issues local contractor licenses and disciplines those who violate county ordinances that oversee licensed contractors.

The group meets on an as-needed basis on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 3:30 p.m. in the Manatee County Administration Building BOCC Chambers located at 1112 Manatee Ave. West.

The four vacancies include:

  • One general contractor vacancy;
  • One mechanical contractor or Class A air conditioning contractor;
  • One commercial swimming pool contractor;
  • One lay seat available to anyone who does not hold an active contractor’s license.

All contractor applicants must have active contractor license with Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. All applicants must either live in or have a business in unincorporated Manatee County.

Applications are due Nov. 14 and may be found online at www.mymanatee.org/advisory_boards.
