Manatee County and City of Bradenton Martin Luther King Day Closures

MANATEE COUNTY – All government offices are closed Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Holiday. There will be no interruption of county trash and recycling schedules. The City of Bradenton's household garbage and recycling will remain the same, however, if you live within the city and your yard waste is usually collected on Monday it will instead get collected on Thursday, Jan 24.

Manatee County

Manatee County Government offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 21 to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Trash and recycling pickup schedules will continue as normal next week. Manatee County Area Transit and the Anna Maria Island Trolley will operate normal daily routes.

Manatee County parks and beaches will be open to the public.  Manatee County and Buffalo Creek Golf Courses will be open. The Fitness Center and Teen Room at G.T. Bray Recreation Center will be closed but G.T. Bray Skate Park will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Central Library, the only county library normally open on Mondays, will be closed Jan. 21 and will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday, Jan. 22. All of Manatee County's branch libraries operate Tuesday through Saturday and are therefore not affected by the Monday closure. Manatee County’s publicly owned natural preserves will remain open.

City of Bradenton

All City of Bradenton offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 21, for Martin Luther King, Jr., Day. There will no interruption of the collection of household garbage and recycling on Monday. However, if your yard waste is usually collected on Monday it will instead get collected on Thursday, Jan 24.
