Manatee County Animal Services Holds Adoption Special to Celebrate our Independence

MANATEE COUNTY – Manatee County Animal Services is offering dogs and cats for adoption at No Cost, Tuesday through Sunday, July 1–6. (We will be closed on July 4th, in observance of Independence Day.)

Help a dog or cat find their forever home by adopting at this event. All dogs and cats are free! Stop by the shelter in Palmetto and find your forever friend today! All pets adopted will receive a health check, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, including rabies, and microchipped. Manatee County residents will have to purchase the required license tag for a $15.00 fee.

Our event hours will be Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed Friday (in observance of Independence Day), Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Animal Services Chief Kris Weiskopf says “Come to Animal Services and check out all our great pets. We have a pet for everyone. Help us help the pets by adopting today; every dog and cat deserves a second chance to live and love.”

This special is available at Animal Services in Palmetto, 305 - 25th Street West (open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) Preview available animals by visiting www.mymanatee.org/pets.
