BRADENTON – Independence Day is upon us and there are plenty of places to see fireworks beginning tonight on the island, and continuing through Thursday's big show over the green bridge, where there will be plenty happening on both sides of the river. As usual, TBT's got your wheres and whens.

On Wednesday, July 3rd, the BeachHouse on Bradenton Beach will hold its 20th Annual Fireworks Extravaganza. Watch the fireworks light up the night sky over the Gulf of Mexico in this thrilling display. With its expansive gulf front deck, the BeachHouse provides a spectacular view of the show.

On Thursday, July 4, the island will light up again up the road in Anna Maria. You can see the big show courtesy of the Sandbar Restaurant. This will be the 27th Annual Sandbar Fireworks Spectacular. VIP Party Packages are available at both restaurants, including up front seating and exclusive food and drink packages. There will also be live entertainment. Also on Thursday, there will be the annual fireworks extravaganza over the green bridge. On the Bradenton side, Old Main Street will be rocking and it will also be the first year since the opening of RiverWalk, providing spactators with plenty of beautiful green space from which to watch the show.

On the Palmetto side, things get started with a free concert at the newly-renovated Lamb and Sutton Park. The double-bill show will feature two world-famous acts, The Guess Who and The Village People, who go on at 5 and 7 p.m. respectively. Fireworks are expected to start around 9:30.
