Manatee County Now Accepting Applications for Children

MANATEE COUNTY – Manatee County is accepting applications to fill four openings on the Children’s Services Advisory Board which advises and makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on the priorities and expenditures of the County's funding source dedicated to children’s services. 

The CSAB is comprised of 13 members who are appointed by the Commission to serve three-year terms. The following four positions are open: 

  • One child advocate not affiliated with any agency receiving County funds; 
  • One representative from the Family Law Division/Guardian Ad Litem of the 12th Judicial Circuit; 
  • One physician, preferably a pediatrician; 
  • One criminal justice representative; 

The CSAB meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Manatee County Administrative Center, 1112 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton.  This group also may meet weekly on Wednesdays during the annual program funding review process, from March through May. 

Members serve on a volunteer basis.  Members and their spouses must also disclose any affiliation they have had over the past year with any organization that applies for Children’s Services funding.
