BRADENTON -- Manatee County Port Authority Agenda Results -

1. CONSENT AGENDA  -- Approved Unanimous

2. Additions, Changes and Increases to Port Manatee Tariff No. 3 and Railroad Tariff MAUP-80-K -- Action to move forward to second meeting to increase water  front tariff and railroad tariff up to three percent. Approved Unanimous

3. Approval of Insurance Settlement on Warehouse No. 2 -- Request to resolve damage settlement claim to warehouse #2 for the amount of $176,976. -- Approved Unanimous

4. Update on Green Express Project --  Manatee County Port Authority Director, David McDonald presented to commissioners a power point review of the five choices staff had constructed. Options varied from those with refrigerated facilities and not. Some had rail and those that didn't, the proposal included the price of bringing rail to them. Prices varied from $9 million to $15 million. Story here - Vote to go forward in eliminating process -  Approved Unanimous

5. Alliance Resource Consulting -- Sherrill A. Uyeda from Alliance Resource Consulting, communicated via Skype with commissioners about the final six applicants for the Manatee Port Authority Director job. Uyeda stated she had most of the background checks in on Degree verifications, criminal, and motor vehicle records and should be through by Monday.  All of the six can choose to be interviewed via Skype or in person. Four are in Florida and the other two are in Texas and Vancouver. All applicants  will be offered $200. traveling expense if they choose to be interviewed in person. Question over migrating from original plan where all applicants were to come here, expenses paid, sparked a two vote progression. Final motion to offer $200 for transportation and a choice of personal or Skype interview and then go forward - Approved 5-2,  - Commissioners DiSabatino and Chappie dissenting.
