Manatee County Public Works Announces Traffic Changes For Election Day

MANATEE--This is a reminder that 17th Street West, between US 41 and Business 41, will be open on November 2, 2010, and will be open to through traffic for voting functions.  All accommodations have been made to make sure all polling stations along this stretch of 17th Street West are unencumbered by any construction activities.

1.The Road Closed / Local Traffic Only sign  will be relocated to 5th Avenue West.  This will allow traffic from the east have direct unobstructed  access to Palmetto youth center.
 
2.There would be The Road Closed / Local Traffic and Voting Traffic Only sign  at  6th Avenue West.  This will allow traffic from the West have direct unobstructed  access to Palmetto youth center.
        
3.All entrances to the Palmetto Youth Center will be unobstructed.
 
4.All road work west of the railroad track will cease for November 2nd.

5.Traffic will still be able to reach the Palmetto Youth Center via 17th Street West.

6.McLeod Land Service will not utilize any large equipment, nor work on installing any storm pipe or roadway. McLeod Land Service will focus on punch work items and curb work outside the road way.  Crews will be on site to provide assistance, if needed.
