Manatee Movers and Shakers: Lee Wetherington Homes Breaks Ground on New Model in Haddington

Posted

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA – Lee Wetherington Homes broke ground on its first new model in the Haddington neighborhood in Country Club East at Lakewood Ranch. The Solivita model is a brand new model design with two versions - a one-story and a two-story option. “This concept has been very successful for us,” said Peter Mason, vice president of sales for the Lakewood Ranch based new home builder. “We show the two-story version and let people know they can go with just the bottom floor which changes very little. It’s like showing two homes in one and building the bigger version helps consumers visualize the difference,” said Mason.

The one-story Solivita starts at 2644 square feet and the two-story can be built with flex options up to about 4000 square feet. The great room floorplan has 3 bedrooms plus a

den with options of adding more rooms upstairs. The Haddington model will have a Tuscan exterior elevation with other elevations available. “We added options that people frequently ask for such as a Florida basement, a large eat in kitchen, an outdoor dining area, en-suite bedrooms plus flex options. We’ve already sold the first one.”

Dan and Cindy Moehle of Tennessee are the first homeowners to purchase a LW home in Haddington. “About a month ago we visited Sarasota and just fell in love with the area. Then when we went into the Lee Wetherington model we knew this was the right place for us,” said Dan Moehle.

The Moehle’s came to Lakewood Ranch during the popular Tour of Homes event. “We looked at a lot of models, but when we walked into the Lee Wetherington model, we knew this was it. There were a few areas that didn’t suit our needs exactly and so they modified it to make it perfect for us,” said Cindy Moehle. The couple said they were also attracted to Lee Wetherington Homes based on the company’s strong reputation for green building.

In Haddington, Lee Wetherington Homes will start in the low 400’s for a 2500 square foot home and lot. The gated community will feature private roads, including its own transponder-controlled “residents only” gate, paver sidewalks, lush community landscaping, and upgraded landscape requirements for all residences.

In Haddington, neighborhood amenities will include three gazebos for gathering and relaxing – two with waterfront views – and a kayak launch.
