Manatee School Board Agenda Results: 9/9/2013

BRADENTON – At Monday's meeting, the Manatee School Board voted to postpone the final public hearing and a vote on the district's FY 2013-14 budget until Tuesday, September 17. In other business, a series of contracts were approved by board members: three concerning collective bargaining agreements between the district and two unions (Manatee Education Association and AFSCME), and another that ratified the sale of the district's massive Checkers-Owens property. In other business, the board approved an application for the establishment of William Monroe Rowlett Academy of Arts and Communication.
