Manatee School District Seeks Public Input on Budget

MANATEE COUNTY -- The Manatee County Schools’ Citizens’ Advisory Committee is conducting a series of meetings across Manatee County where a survey will be given to community members to determine their priorities relevant to the Manatee County School Board's 2014-2015 Budget and the 5-year Strategic Plan. The goal of the meetings is to include community input into the budget planning and strategic planning processes to give them a sense of ownership in these important endeavors.

The meetings are scheduled for the following dates and will be held from 6 p.m to 8 p.m.:

  • Nov 5 – King Middle
  • Nov 7 – Harllee Middle
  • Nov 12 – Buffalo Creek Middle
  • Nov 14 – GD Rodgers Elementary
  • Nov 19 – Lakewood Ranch High
  • Nov 21– Lincoln Middle


The meetings will include food, homework help, tutoring and other educational activities for kids of all ages.
