Marauders and Mets Split Doubleheader

BRADENTON – For game one of Saturday's doubleheader, the Marauders rallied from a 2-0 deficit to snag a 3-2 victory over the Mets. With the score tied 2-2 in the seventh, the Marauders staged a two out rally against Ryan Fraser (L, 0-1). Three consecutive two-out walks loaded the bases, followed by a wild pitch during Josh Bell’s at-bat to bring home the winning run.

Bryton Trepagnier (W, 2-0) tossed two scoreless innings to earn the win.

For game two, Luis Cessa (W, 1-3) pitched the Mets to a doubleheader split and into a tie for first place. The righty struck out six batters over five innings to earn his first win of the season. Orlando Castro (L, 2-2) tossed 5 1/3 in defeat for the Marauders.

Jonathan Schwind had three hits and three runs scored between the two games, including a double.
