BRADENTON – The Marauders (51-43, 16-9) split a Thursday night doubleheader with the Clearwater Threshers (27-67, 10-17). Bradenton took game one 7-2, then fell 7-4 in the second game of the night.

Tyler Glasnow (W, 6-4) pitched 5 2/3 solid innings in the first game, surrendering two early unearned runs in the first before setting down 15 in a row. Glasnow struck out four and walked one. Yhonathan Barrios (S, 2) earned his second save in as many opportunities.

Raul Fortunato had the biggest night at the plate. His bases-loaded triple in game one broke a 2-2 tie, and he added a run-scoring fielder’s choice to plate an insurance run. In game two he clubbed his fourth home run of the season, a two-run shot to bring his RBI total for the night to six.

Game three of the series is Friday night at 6:30 p.m. Shane Carle will start for the Marauders against Miguel Nunez of the Threshers. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
