BRADENTON – Weather has plagued this week in baseball. Last night's game between the Marauders and Cardinals at Roger Dean Stadium in Palm Beach was rained out. On Tuesday, the Marauders concluded their postponed game from Monday night, getting a 5-4 win before losing the regularly-scheduled game, which was called in the 9th, due to more rain.

The Marauders resumed their game against the Brevard County Manatees which was suspended on Monday night, securing a 5-4 win in 10 innings, then dropped their regularly scheduled game 1-0 on Tuesday at McKechnie Field. The regularly scheduled game was called in the top of the ninth inning due to rain.

Bradenton and Brevard County resumed their suspended game in the seventh inning with the score tied 4-4. The game went to extras with the score unchanged. With two in scoring position and two down in the 10th, Gregory Polanco grounded a ball to first which was misplayed by Nick Ramirez, allowing the winning run to score.

The scheduled Wednesday game featured a duel on the mound between Eliecer Navarro (L, 0-5) and Drew Gagnon (W, 2-2). Navarro pitched six innings, striking out nine and surrendering only a run-scoring double to Ramirez that snuck in down the right field line in the first. Gagnon was even better though, pitching seven perfect innings and striking out 10.

Gagnon was replaced by Seth Harvey in the eighth. Harvey surrendered a one-out single to Dan Gamache for the Marauders only hit of the game. Harvey earned his sixth save in as many chances. Thursday's game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Friday in Palm Beach. The first game will start at 5:05 p.m.
