Marauders Blast Hammerheads 6-1

JUPITER – The Marauders (67-53, 32-19) rode more dominant pitching from Tyler Glasnow (W, 10-5) to a 6-1 win over the Jupiter Hammerheads (43-76, 16-34) on Tuesday night at Roger Dean Stadium. Glasnow whiffed 10 Hammerheads, his second straight double digit strikeout performance against Jupiter. The righty allowed just four hits, three walks, and one unearned run over 6 1/3 innings.

The Marauders pounced on Scott Lyman in the first inning, plating three runs on one hit and the pitcher’s own error. Lyman wound up responsible for all six runs, dropping to 0-5 in six starts against Bradenton.

Tyler Sample struck out three over 1 2/3 innings, while A.J. Morris collected one strikeout in a scoreless ninth. Marauders pitchers finished with 14 total whiffs.

Max Moroff went 3-for-4 at the plate with a walk and two runs scored for Bradenton. Eric Wood and Jose Osuna each had two hits. Jordan Steranka doubled, scored a run, and drove one in. Anthony Gomez led the Hammerheads in defeat, going 3-for-4, including 2-for-3 off Glasnow.
