Marauders Host Mets and Yankees During 5-Game Homestand

BRADENTON – The Bradenton Marauders host the St. Lucie Mets and Tampa Yankees during a five-game home stand this week at McKechnie Field. The home stand starts on Tuesday and continues through Saturday, July 12. All five games begin at 6:30 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.

Marty Claus will bring the holiday spirit to McKechnie Field on Tuesday, July 8. The Marauders are celebrating Christmas in July. Marty Claus will be available for pictures with children on the outfield boardwalk during the game. Baseball Bingo presented by Jersey Mike’s Subs and PLS Print will be played. Children will be able to run the bases after the game in the Kids Fun Run presented by Mosaic.

The Marauders and Mets play the middle game of their three-game set on Wednesday, July 9, then finish the series on Thursday, July 10. July 10 is Evan Chambers night. The Marauders will honor the memory of Chambers, a former Marauders player who passed away suddenly last December. The first 500 fans will receive Evan Chambers #53 t-shirts.

Chambers was a dedicated volunteer with the Foundation for Dreams, and the Marauders will hold a silent auction at the game to raise money for the charity. Additionally, a portion of the night’s launch-a-ball proceeds will be donated to the Foundation for Dreams. All second half long, the Marauders will be donating $1 for each game program sold to Foundation for Dreams.

July 10 is also a Thirsty Thursday presented by Budweiser and Ticket Sarasota. Sodas and select draft beers cost just $1.

Friday, July 11 is Military Appreciation Night and a Free Shirt Friday. Admission is free with a valid military ID. The first 500 fans will receive a Marauders camouflage t-shirt presented by Miller High Life.

Every Friday home game is also a Happy Hour Friday presented by Pier 22 Restaurant. Between 5:30 and 6:30, 500 free hot dogs will be given away and there will be great drink specials from Kayem and Cheney Brothers.

Saturday, July 12 is Go Fly a Kite Night. The first 500 fans will receive a free Marauders Kite. Fans will be invited onto the field after the game to fly kites in the outfield. Baseball Bingo presented by Jersey Mike’s Subs and PLS Print will be played during the game.

July 12 is the fourth installment of Bark in the Park, presented by ABC 7 with supporting partner The New Barker. Bark badges for dog admission cost just $2, with proceeds benefitting the Humane Society of Manatee County.

The Marauders are offering a 10-Ticket Flex Pack in the second half of the season. For $70 fans receive 10 undated ticket vouchers that may be exchanged at any game. As a bonus, the Flex Pack comes with a $10 gift certificate to Pier 22 Restaurant and $10 in Bucs Bucks, which are redeemable at any McKechnie Field concessions stand.

The McKechnie Field ticket office is open on non-gamedays Tuesday-Friday from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. On Monday-Friday gamedays the ticket office is open from noon until the conclusion of the game. The ticket office opens two hours before Saturday, Sunday, and morning games.
