JUIPITER – The Marauders (37-25) held off the Cardinals (37-25) in the bottom of the ninth, securing an 8-5 win at Roger Dean Stadium on Saturday night. The win puts Bradenton, Palm Beach, and the Fort Myers Miracle in a three way tie atop the South Division second half standings.

Tyler Glasnow (W, 12-5) matched his season high in runs allowed on his 21st birthday, but still walked away with the win. Glasnow struck out eight and walked two. He surrendered a two-run single to Anthony Garcia in the fourth and a two-run home run to Mason Katz in the fifth. Katz was also celebrating his birthday Saturday.

The Marauders led throughout, plating three runs in the third inning off Corey Littrell (L, 0-2). Littrell allowed all eight Bradenton runs, with only the three in the in the third being earned. Bradenton went 5-for-6 with runners in scoring position on the night, and finished the game without a runner left on all game. Jose Osuna hit his 10th home run of the season in an error-fill fifth inning.

Ryan Hafner allowed one unearned run in the seventh inning. He struck out four over two innings. Bryton Trepagnier pitched a perfect eighth inning, but ran into trouble in the ninth. Leading 8-5, the Bradenton righty walked two with a single in between to load the bases with nobody out. Yhonathan Barrios (S, 8) bounced back from his first blown save on Thursday by getting a strikeout, a pop out, and a ground out to end the threat and the game.

The Marauders and Cardinals end their series on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. with a share of first place on the line. Shane Carle will start for Bradenton. The game can be heard online at www.BradentonMarauders.com.
