Bradenton jumped on top 2-0 in the third inning. Dan Grovatt drove in Jacob Stallings with a sacrifice fly. With Taylor Lewis at second base, Alen Hanson bunted for a single, which was then misplayed by the third baseman Aderlin Rodriguez to allow Lewis to score.

The Mets bounced back against Bradenton start Robby Rowland. St. Lucie plated a run in the bottom of the third and knotted the game in the fourth. Rowland was able to strand the bases loaded in the fourth to end his start.

St. Lucie took the lead for good with three runs against Matt Benedict (L, 0-6) in the fifth. The Mets scored one run in each remaining inning.

Matt Bowman (W, 3-0) turned in a fourth straight impressive start for St. Lucie. The righty pitched seven innings and struck out six. Hamilton Bennett and Ryan Fraser each pitched a scoreless inning to finish the game for St. Lucie.

The Marauders were off on Monday and travel to Fort Myers today. The next Marauders home game is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29.
