Marauders Open 8-day Homestand at McKechnie

BRADENTON – The Bradenton Marauders host the Clearwater Threshers Wednesday, July 17 through Saturday, July 20. The Lakeland Flying Tigers visit McKechnie Field from Sunday, July 21 through Wednesday, July 24. Weeknight and Saturday games begin at 6:30 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. The game on Sunday, July 21 will begin at 5:00 p.m. with gates opening at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 24 is Camp Day, with first pitch scheduled for 10:00 a.m. and gates opening at 9:00 a.m.

The Marauders open their home stand on Wednesday, July 17, against the Philadelphia Phillies High-A affiliate. On Thursday, July 18, the Marauders invite their four-legged friends to the ballpark for the fourth Bark in the Park game of the season. Pooch Passes cost $2, which is then donated to the Humane Society of Manatee County. Watering stations will be designated around the ballpark for dogs. After the game, the Bradenton Police Department K9 Unit will give an on-field demonstration. All Thursday home games are Thirsty Thursdays presented by Budweiser, featuring sodas and select draft beers for just $1.

Friday, July 19 is the second Faith and Family Night. The first 500 fans will receive a Faith and Family Night T-shirt. Every Friday home game is a Happy Hour Friday presented by Pier 22 Restaurant. From 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m., 500 free hot dogs will be given away at the outfield concessions stand and $1 sodas and $1 domestic draft beers will be sold at the Kona Bar Built by NDC Construction and the Yuengling Plaza Bar thanks to Kayem and Cheney Brothers.

Saturday, July 20 is Christmas in July. The first 500 fans will receive a Marauders Christmas ornament. Marty Claus is ready to celebrate the Christmas season early by featuring holiday themed on-field games. Marty Claus will also be available for photos with fans.

The Salvation Army Angel Tree will be stationed at McKechnie Field from July 17-19. Each paper angel on the tree is marked with an item the Salvation Army has a need for to assist local families. Fans seeking to donate an item to the Salvation Army can take an angel from the tree, and bring their donation for collection at the game on July 20.

Sunday, July 21 is Prostate Cancer Awareness Night presented by Dattoli Cancer Center in partnership with Ed Randall’s Fans for the Cure. Tickets and regular-size Kayem hot dogs cost just $1 on this Wendy’s Family Fun Sunday. Children 13 and younger can run the bases after the game in the Kids Fun Run presented by Mosaic.

Monday, July 22 is a Silverauder Night presented by Humana. Baseball Bingo is played, presented by Jersey Mike’s Subs and Precision Litho Service. Tuesday, July 23 is a First Mates Kids Club Night, which also features Baseball Bingo. Children 13 and younger can run the bases after the game in the Kids Fun Run presented by Mosaic.

July 23 is also National Hot Dog Day, and the Marauders will offer their fans regular size Kayem hot dogs throughout the game. The hot dog is a key staple of the McKechnie Field concessions menu, and it will be recognized accordingly with on-field activities and giveaways.

Wednesday, July 24 is the Marauders 10:00 a.m. Camp Day Game. McKechnie Field will be filled with groups from local summer camps to see the Marauders take on the Flying Tigers, Detroit’s High-A affiliate.

The McKechnie Field ticket office is open on non-game days from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday-Friday and closed on weekend non-game days. On Monday-Saturday game days, the ticket office opens at 1:00 p.m. and closes at the conclusion of the game. On Sunday game days and special games with 10 a.m. start times, the ticket office opens two hours prior to the game.
