Marauders Set to Kick off Season With Special Events

BRADENTON – The Bradenton Marauders host their 2013 home opener on Friday against the Fort Myers Miracle. There will be several opportunities to meet the team and see the Marauders in action before they hit the diamond at McKechnie Field for Friday night's game, which has a 6:30 p.m. start.

Tonight, the entire team and coaching staff will be at the new Walmart Supercenter on State Route 70, just east of I-75, from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. to meet fans and sign autographs. The Walmart Supercenter is located at 5810 Ranch Lake Boulevard.

The Marauders open their season on the road against the Fort Myers Miracle on Thursday, April 4 at 7 p.m. Season ticket holders can attend any Marauders regular season away game for free by showing their season ticket holder ID card at the stadium box office for one complimentary ticket, based on availability.

Marauders opening night on April 5 is Bright House Networks Customer Appreciation Night. Fans can receive free Grandstand, Left Field Bleacher, or Boardwalk tickets by presenting their Bright House Networks billing statement at the McKechnie Field ticket office. It is also the first Happy Hour Friday presented by Pier 22 Restaurant. Between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. there will be 500 free hot dogs given away at the outfield concessions stand and drink specials from Kayem and Cheney Brothers at the Kona Bar.

Following the game, there will be a spectacular fireworks show presented by Bright House Networks and Budweiser. Groups of 10 or more that book a group outing at least 72 hours before the game will receive a wristband to watch the fireworks on the field after the game. Wristbands to watch the fireworks on-field are also available with the Marauders Fireworks Package, a five-game ticket plan featuring a ticket to each of the Marauders five fireworks games for just $35.

The Marauders conclude their season-opening series against the Miracle on Sunday, April 7. A pregame Easter Egg Hunt featuring more than 10,000 eggs will be held from 12:15 p.m. until 12:30 p.m. for children 13 and younger. Sunday games are Wendy’s Family Fun Sundays with tickets costing just $1, and regular hot dogs cost $1 as well. After the game children age 13 and younger can run the bases courtesy of Mosaic.

The McKechnie Field ticket office is open on non-game days from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday-Friday and closed on weekend non-gamedays. On Monday-Saturday game days, the ticket office opens at 1:00 p.m. and closes at the conclusion of the game. On Sunday game days and special games with 10 a.m. start times, the ticket office opens two hours prior to the game.
