Marie Brackett Lough, age 72, of Lakewood Ranch, FL took flight for her heavenly adventures on June 6, 2025.
Born November 22, 1952, Marie spent most her life in the Sarasota area, where she "Lived Well, Laughed Often & Loved Much." Known for her instantly warm heart, feisty wit and spirit of adventure, Marie enhanced life and added joy to the souls of anyone she encountered – family, friends or strangers, nobody was immune to her touch.
She is survived by her husband, best friend and love of her life, Greg Lough. Also survived by her five children – Brian Lough, Tricia Bamford, Tracie Fink Robarts, Laurie Lough Reed and Jeff Lough. She was a proud grandmother and buddy to her eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. These descendants will carry forth her legacy of kindness, grace and fun-hearted spirit.
Her Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, June 17th at 5:30pm at Woodland Community Church – 9607 State Road 70 E, Bradenton, FL 34202.
In lieu of flowers and in her memory, the family encourages acts of kindness and for everyone to take time to smell the roses, watch the birds, and simply enjoy the little things on a daily basis – this is the best way to honor our new guardian angel.
