It is with great sadness and much love that the family of Marilyn Diane Arnold announces her passing on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at the age of 89.
Diane is lovingly remembered by Ernie, her husband of 53 years; children, Karen Natoli (Steve), Tom Dormo (Cindy), Guy Arnold (Pam), Jeff Arnold (Kristi); grandchildren, Amy, Michael, Ricky, Karla, Brian, Jonathan, Michael, Amanda, Kyle, Griffin, Gavin, Grayson and 9 greatgrandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Lee (Tom); mother, Eleanor Thomas; father, Thomas C. Thomas, and first husband, Roland Dormo. She will be dearly missed by her friends at the Grove and the Red Hats.
Diane grew up in Sligo, PA, married and became a widow at a young age. She moved to Ohio and raised three children on her own until she met and fell in love with Ernie. Together they melded their families and enjoyed camping, boating, and fun-filled holidays and celebrations together. Diane was the heart and soul of our family. Her positive, upbeat nature lifted anyone around her. She saw the glass as half full and made sure that others did, too. She was the Manager at Midland Title in Akron, then retired to Bradenton, Florida, with Ernie. She was a fabulous cook, avid reader, loved to dance, enjoyed cruises, card parties, and laughter with friends. Diane passed away on her 53rd wedding anniversary, a tender timing for her good-bye to Ernie and our family.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Diane's name to American Cancer Society (https://donate.cancer.org). The family wishes to extend special thanks to Tidewell Hospice for their care and compassion.
Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel, 5624 26th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34207, is in charge of arrangements.
