Mayor Poston Honored with Annual GCBX Award

Mayor Poston presented a surprise proclamation to longtime resident and volunteer Gerry Fisher recently during a gathering downtown. BRADENTON – Bradenton Mayor Wayne Poston was honored with the Gulf Coast Builders Xchange 2014 Chairman’s Award during the group’s 62nd Annual Dinner last week at the Polo Grill.

The award recognizes “exemplary performance and service to the citizens of the City of Bradenton by a public official.”

Gov. Rick Scott was the event’s keynote speaker. The governor spoke about job creation and the construction industry, and recognized Mayor Poston for the work he has done in creating jobs in Bradenton.
