McDonald elected to national port board


Port Manatee's chief has been elected to a national board.

Executive director David L. McDonald was elected to the American Association of Port Authorities' board of directors on Thursday at a membership meeting during its 98th annual convention in Galveston, Texas.

The board sets policies and oversees the direction of the national seaports association, which represents 160 of the leading seaport authorities in the Western Hemisphere.
