McDonald elected to national port board

Port Manatee's chief has been elected to a national board.

Executive director David L. McDonald was elected to the American Association of Port Authorities' board of directors on Thursday at a membership meeting during its 98^th annual convention in Galveston, Texas.

The board sets policies and oversees the direction of the national seaports association, which represents 160 of the leading seaport authorities in the Western Hemisphere.
